Compartimentul de chirurgie toracică și esofagiană din cadrul Secției Chirurgie 1 a Spitalului Clinic Județean de Urgență Sibiu a fost dotat recent cu un fibronhoscop și un mediastinoscop, două aparate ultraperformante și extrem de importante pentru asigurarea unui act medical complex și de înaltă calitate. Cele două aparate au fost achiziționate printr-o sponsorizare de 99.507 lei oferită de compania Wenglor Electronic InnovationLito SCS.
Fibronscopul și mediastinoscopul suplinesc nevoi importante ale compartimentului, prin lărgirea spectrului de investigații și proceduri medicale pe care medicii le pot face în acest moment, în patologia oncologică toracică la nivelul SCJUS.
„Până în prezent, biopsiile bronșice nu s-au putut practica în spitalul nostru. Cazurile cu patologie complexă pentru care nu se poate efectua această procedură în Spitalul de Pneumoftiziologie Sibiu vor putea fi investigate în cadrul Spitalului Clinic Județean de Urgență Sibiu, în colaborare cu colegii de la Anestezie și Terapie Intensivă. De asemenea, pentru situațiile în care este indicată mediastinoscopia (biopsii adenopatii și/sau tumori mediastinale), pacienții vor putea beneficia de această metodă diagnostică în cadrul SCJU Sibiu. Mai este însă nevoie de achiziționarea unui sternotom, pentru ca această procedură să fie efectuată în condiții de siguranță”, explică dr. Achim Lucian-David, medic primar Chirurgie Toracică, în cadrul Spitalului Clinic Județean de Urgență Sibiu.
Sponsorizarea a fost acordată de compania Wenglor Electronic InnovationLito SCS, prin intermediul Asociației Împreună pentru Sănătate, aceasta din urmă facilitând achiziționarea aparatelor.
